Big thanks to Niall Kennedy for inviting Joyent to present at the first SF Tech Session this past Thursday. It was hugely interesting to see three quite different approaches to solving a similar problem, and I think we all learned a lot.
Dr Hoffman argued the case for Joyent – hot damn that boy can talk up a storm, even mananging to reign in the occasional tangential riff on the ecstatic pleasures of the command line.
Good also to see Paris Hilton in the audience, complete with rhinestone-studded Vaio. Fabulous.
