Jason, Ben and I are doing a new podcast (fresh on Wednesdays) that’s intended to be a weekly conversation about systems, stuff Joyent, processes that we like or dislike. I’m serving the podcast from my Bingo disk. As I’ve said before, Bingo is a great solution for pod/videocasting.
This week we talk about virtualization technologies from Xen, VMWare, Solaris Containers, Unbreakable Linux, the Dell jib-jab-like cartoon, Sun Blackboxes, and some JRuby, Java VM, Ruby goodness. Bumpers by the Gap Band.
I hope you’ll give it a listen.
Update: here’s a direct link to the mp3.

am i missing the link to an MP3? heading over to that page invokes my FF media player plugin, when all i want is to download the file (i’m away from iTunes so the subscribe link isn’t what i need).
@Stephen: I put up a link. Enjoy.
outstanding. thanks.
David, your adverts should rather be for Bingo! Disk instead of the dodge airlines you mentioned.
Interesting. Jason has some conspiracy theories up his sleaves.
I’d like to hear more about mod_perl being faster than mod_php but why does mod_perl leak ram like a sieve?
That Jason talks too much.
Can’t believe there wasn’t any mention of food…
Well now I’m not going to listen to it. No tacos? No horchata? Or at least, cheese? It’s like I don’t know you anymore….hmphf.
But really, keep doing these. I’m only a couple minutes in at the moment, but this is the first podcast I’ve subscribed to. I hope it has a long run.
your volume is to dynamic and it overdrives, when one of you guys smashes in.
@allan: yeah, we’re learning. We’ve got the equipment, but there are some many damn dials!
If 64kbps is good enough for Leo Laporte, it’s probably good enough for you. Would cut the size of your podcast by more than half.
Looking forward to listening to it!
Very nice. This really quickly sums up why I’ve become so passionate about the Joyent family: you’re all such good (and likeable) communicators. As I get older, I’m realising just how important that is.
Come on give us that Youngo Bungo buy your Bingo/Joyent/TextDrive/Strongspace style self promotion.
Dave, when is the next version of ps pipe grep going to be available. I can’t wait!
You really should try to use Garageband to add some chapters to such a long podcast. So we can easy skip to the juicy bits in iTunes.
Good work otherwise!
