No, its not what you think. I have been spending some time getting ready to send out Christmas cards to family and friends, and thought I’d share the picture we’re enclosing with our card. Typical. Margaret is carefree. Elizabeth is pissed. At least, at this particular slice of time.

I just love how the kids’ reactions have completely disrupted the staged, formal portrait. Beautifully ironic and a thousand times better for it. Tho’ it occurs to me that a man with your academic background might well have made it that way deliberately for just that reason.
I trust that all of you will find some time for the aforementioned rest and libations.
