Wir bei Joyent sind immer wieder für eine Überraschung gut. Deshalb gibt es heute unseren ersten deutschsprachigen Blogbeitrag, mit dem wir die sofortige Verfügbarkteit einer deutschsprachigen Version des Joyent Connector bekanntgeben. Und das nur kurz nach unserer Veröffentlichung von Joyent Lists und der Ankündigung, dass der Connector in naher Zukunft zu einem Open Source Projekt wird.
Deutsch ist die zweitbeliebteste Sprache im Internet (Wikipedia), so dass wir uns besonders freuen, sie heute neben unseren englischen und spanischen Übersetzungen verfügbar zu machen.
Und wie kann man den Connector in deutsch nutzen? Ganz einfach: Wählen Sie ‘Ihre Einstellungen’ aus dem Menü mit dem Joyent Plus-Logo und ändern Sie die Einstellung ‘Sprache’ im Bereich ‘Benutzeraccount bearbeiten’.
So, und damit auch der Rest der Welt versteht worum es hier geht:
Connector Speaks German
We at Joyent are always good for surprises. And that’s why we’re making our first German blog entry today, to announce the immediate availability of a German-language version of Joyent Connector. This comes quickly after our release last week of Joyent Lists + the announcement of the future open-sourcing of Connector.
German is the second most-popular language on the Internet (Wikipedia), so we’re especially excited that it is joining our current English + Spanish translations today.
How can you use connector in Deutsch? That’s easy. Choose ‘Your Preferences’ from the Joyent plus-logo menu, then change the ‘Language’ setting under ‘Edit Account’.

By the way, there are a few typos scattered around the Connector still. May just file a few minor bugs.
I can’t access Wikipedia, thanks Great Firewall, but wouldn’t Chinese account for a much larger portion of the internet? Contact me, if you wish to get a Chinese translation going

I think all these statistics need to be looked at with a bit of a wary eye.
While more Chinese may use the internet now, it still may be true that – at least of now – German, Japanse, Spanish etc. are higher ranking economically seen.
From what I’ve heard Japanese and Mandarin Connector localisations are not too far away.
