You guys waited 3 years to release the source under a free/open license (GPLv2). Looking back, would you say now that you a) could’ve/should’ve released it sooner? Or b) that the 3 years you spent as the exclusive vendor for Connector (and the associated revenue) was necessary to bootstrap the development/growth of the product? or c) some other issue lead you to keep it behind closed doors for so long?

I completely applaud the decision, but I’m just curious as to some of the background on the business side about what kept you from releasing it sooner.
