Alex Salkever: Director of Product Marketing at Joyent Cloud. Former technology editor at BusinessWeek.com and a regular contributor to publications such as GigaOm and Streetfightmag.

Rod Boothby: Rod is a Vice President who works on Corporate and Business Development at Joyent.

Philip Borenstein: Philip Borenstein is the Senior Documentation Manager at Joyent.

Ryan Dahl: Ryan Dahl is the creator and project lead of Node.js at Joyent, Inc. He has a master degree in mathematics from the University of Rochester. Ryan lives in San Francisco.

James Duncan: Compulsive reader of the HTTP spec, inveterate tinkerer, and original author of the Smart platform.

Shannon Fiume: Shannon is a senior system engineer at Joyent. She loves working with OpenSolaris to build systems elegant in both form and function.

Filip Hajny: Director of SmartMachine Engineering. A philosopher by education, a hacker by trade. Loves taking the IT pain out of people’s hearts. Enjoys learning new things, and proving that doing them old style still works just fine (in life, in IT, you name it).

Jason Hoffman: Founder and Chief Technology Office at Joyent, Jason is a monk in the Order of the NCD. He’s typically found walking the halls or on an airplane, and spends most of his time recruiting, retaining and talking to customers and partners.

Christopher Horrell: Christopher is a Systems Support Engineer at Joyent. He loves the web, solving problems, and learning new things. He spends most of his free time with his girlfriend and his dog, but mostly his girlfriend.

Jerry Jelinek: Jerry is a software developer at Joyent. He’s worked on the Solaris operating system for many years, most recently on the zones virtualization subsystem. Jerry spends a lot of his free time fixing up the family home.

Wouter Keyser: Technical Director for Joyent Europe, currently focused on pre-sales, technical account management, POCs and partner/service provider enablement.

Jonathan King: Senior Vice President of Business Development, Jonathan lives up in the air working big deals with Joyent Alliance Partners, Service Providers, Systems Integations and ISVs.

Marsell Kukuljevic: Marsell is a hacker who likes hard problems.

Scott McWhirter: Scott is a developer at Joyent. He’s currently leading the charge on Joyent’s Platform as a Service product line. Scott is a big film fan, but also enjoys beer, snowboarding and playing with new systems and software.

Ryan Nelson: Ryan is Vice President of Operations for Joyent. A recent transplant to California and Silicon Valley from NYC. Longtime Unix hacker and infrastructure repairman. Loves tech, baseball, music, and travel.

Jim Pick: Jim is a developer at Joyent. He’s probably done it before, or knows someone who has. He sometimes spends too much time on the bleeding edge. Jim spends a lot of time in the pool, likes to travel and is learning Japanese.

Laurel Reitman: Vice President of Product at Joyent, Laurel enjoys creating order from chaos and serving as a translator between techies and business folks.

Ben Rockwood: Ben is the Director of Systems Engineering at Joyent. He is a Solaris expert and evangelist. He has a passion for performance, metrics, and engineering complex systems to enable data center harmony. He is the father of fourĀ and has a smokin’ hot wife.

Isaac Schlueter: Isaac is a Software Developer at Joyent. He is a contributor to Node.js, the author of npm (the node package manager), and he works on the no.de service.

Aaron Slettehaugh: Aaron is Director of Product at Joyent.

Shane Stakem: Director of Infrastructure, primarily focused on all aspects of Joyent’s Data Centers from Networking, critical asset management to nuts and bolts. Actively involved in bringing process management, Infrastructure standardization and network security to the next level. I am an avid home brewer and student pilot.

Orlando Vazquez: Orlando is a software developer at Joyent. He’s an avid beer brewer, amateur juggler, downhill mountain biker, and death-metal afficionado. He enjoys speaking in the third-person.

Jackson West: Jackson is Joyeur’s managing editor and the audio-video geek in residence at Joyent. He’s played a lot of Civilization and cooks everything from scratch.

Elijah Wright: Elijah is a Systems Support Engineer at Joyent. Loves developing and deploying elegant, useful, solid tools into production.

Howard Wu: Howard is the General Manager of Joyent Canada as part of the Layerboom acquisition. Howard has worked in technology ranging from hardware manufacturing to software services on both sides of the Pacific ocean. He’s typically worked in technology firms and managed everything from financing, operations, sales and marketing to product. Howard enjoys basketball, history, politics and finance.

Peter Yorke: Peter is a Senior Solutions Architect at Joyent. He is our resident expert on Hadoop, monitoring, and streaming media, and in his free time loves to garden and is an independent film maker.

David Young: Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Joyent.
